Terms of Service

What this is

Every Road ("we", "us") is a personal road exploration tracker. By using the app or website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. Pretty straightforward.

Your account

• You need an invite to create an account.
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• One account per person. Don't share accounts.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use this service.

Free and Premium plans

• The free plan includes GPS tracking and 100 map tiles per day.
• The Premium plan costs $2/month or $20/year and includes unlimited map tiles and additional features.
• Prices may change with 30 days notice. Existing subscriptions are honored until the end of their billing period.
• You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
• We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods.

Acceptable use

Don't use Every Road to:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download map data.
• Reverse-engineer the API or tile server.
• Create competing products using our data or infrastructure.
• Abuse the service in a way that affects other users.
• Automate requests beyond normal app usage.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Road data

Road geometry data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL). We don't guarantee the accuracy or completeness of road data. Roads may be missing, misaligned, or outdated.

Platforms

Every Road is available as a website and as mobile apps for iOS and Android. All platforms connect to the same account and share your exploration data. The mobile apps use background location access to track roads while you drive — this is the core feature and the only reason we request location permissions.

GPS and safety

Every Road is a tracking tool, not a navigation tool. Do not interact with the app while driving. The app tracks your roads in the background — you don't need to look at it. Keep your eyes on the road. We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or violations that occur while using the service.

Service availability

We run this from a home server. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. The service may go down for maintenance, upgrades, or because we tripped over the power cable. We're not liable for any downtime or data loss.

Your data

Your explored roads data belongs to you. If you want to leave, we'll delete everything. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and store.

Limitation of liability

Every Road is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
